17 Best Veggies To Grow In Pots

Growing vegetables in pots (or other containers) is a perfect solution for those whose garden is lack of room. If you live in an apartment but still love planting vegetables, herbs, and flowers, this also helps. It not only brings you clean vegetables for daily cooking but also makes your house “greener” and more stylish. No one could resist living in an environment-friendly space.

#1 Lettuce

Lettuce grows fast and easily in pot. You should choose pots that have a wider opening but not much depth for it.

#2 Kale

Another veggie that does well in pots is kale. It has a variety of colors and shapes. To grow it in pots, you should choose ones that are at least 12 inches in diameter.

#3 Spinach

Spinach does extremely well in pots. It needs at least a pot of 6 inches deep, but you really don’t need much more depth than that either.

#4 Peppers

You can definitely grow peppers in pot if  your garden does not have enough room for them. They even do exclusively well.

#5 Swiss Chard

Swiss Chard is also a vegetable that you can grow in pots and containers. It does beautifully.

#6 Onions

Onions grow quite well in containers. You can place these pots inside the house or on a porch or balcony.

#7 Potatoes 

Potatoes are also a plant that I often grow in containers on my porch, and even between my raised beds. It does so well.

#8 Tomatoes

A tomato pot brings you fresh tomatoes for a number of salads. Tomatoes come in red, making them bright, even striking in your garden.

#9 Carrots

Carrots grow well both in container and in the garden. They need at least a pot of 6 inches in depth and 12 inches in width. Those are 12-inch deep are better.

#10 Cauliflower

You can also grow cauliflower in pots and containers. It best grows when planted separately in a separate pot.
