Reba McEntire addresses claim she called Taylor Swift a ‘spoiled brat’ after alleged Super Bowl diss

Reba McEntire denied calling Taylor Swift a “spoiled brat.”

The “Little Rock” songstress took to Instagram Saturday to share a post from the America Loves Liberty Facebook group that alleged the country icon was “disappointed” in Swift’s behavior during her national anthem performance at the 2024 Super Bowl.

“Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet,” McEntire, who performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the game, wrote. “I did not say this. Taylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry.”

McEntire’s statement was in response to the group’s slandering post, which read, “Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event.”

They further alleged the singer told them, “I let her have it afterward. She’s an entitled little brat.”

However, pictures from the Super Bowl showed Swift respectfully placing her hand over her heart during the national anthem while standing in a VIP suite alongside Blake Lively.

Several people rushed to support McEntire in the comments, calling out the fabricated story.

“They spelled your name McIntire. So made up story AND a lazy proofreader! 😂,” one person wrote.

“SET EM STRAIGHT, RED👏👏👏,” another chimed in.

“Reba would never,” a third added.

McEntire, 68, previously proved she only has love for Swift when expressing her hope for the 14-time Grammy winner, 34, to make it to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, NV., despite performing for her Eras Tour in Japan one day prior, per Today.com.

At the time, the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker made the more than 10-hour flight to support her beau Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the San Francisco 49ers.

Meanwhile, McEntire has also briefly spoken about the couple’s whirlwind romance, revealing she was jealous of Swift.
