One of our favorite holidays to celebrate is Valentine’s Day… who doesn’t want to celebrate love? Something we definitely need more in the world.
So to commemorate and get ourselves ready for that special holiday, we’ve put together a list of ‘love’-ly easy crochet projects you can do for the ones you love. These range from easy trinkets, wreaths and blankets.
#1 Plaid Cape for Babies and Girls
The Crochet Plaid Cape is my way of bringing plaid into spring. The traditional red plaid is beautiful and I have used it for the Buttoned Plaid Cowl and Buttoned Plaid Scarf, but I wanted to do something a little lighter and pinker for Valentines day. It is quite easy to create a plaid combination. Just find two shades of the same color then add white as your lightest color.
#2 Strawberry Hearts
Simple crochet pattern for decorative strawberry hearts perfect for Valentines Day gift. You can make one in less than an hour using just a little bit of yarn.

Looking for a Valentine idea that is good for the kid’s classrooms? This is it! They work up really fast and are great for many ages! You can even use pencils for when the kids are beyond crayons. These Valentines are also great for travel and dining out! You can easily use a plain button, travel themed button, or even food themed button for a different use. This project is great for confident beginners, so these could even be made by kids!
